Spring is the time when we drop off the heavy coats and warm boots swapping for light jackets and more colourful clothes. Also, this is the time when we use accessory like earrings, brooches or rings more because these are not covered in scarfs, gloves or hats anymore. 

I never knew how to accessorise before, and I would keep my outfits to minimum including basic earrings or bracelets. Since last year I become accessorise brand ambassador, I have focused more on wearing accessories. It made me realise how it can change the entire outfit. 

Best way to accessorise is keeping things simple. Regardless your style, over accessorising can only do harm to your outfit, and instead of enhancing your clothes, you will end up looking like a Christmas tree. Not good.

Jewellery 

Basic jewellery like earrings, rings and necklaces can be styled as you like. I personally like rings on all fingers and halfway through fingers. These always gives you that boohoo look regardless the season. In spring i prefer flowery motives but any arrows, or geometric can be quite refreshing. When wearing neckline dresses or tops, I prefer to wear long necklaces that go over the clothesline as this adds some edge to it. I would leave long earrings for the night and stick to subtle soft earrings. 

Brooches 

These are the statement accessory that even our grandmothers and princesses were wearing. I remember being 16 and 17 where these were totally out of fashion at my age but I loved so much, that despite being posted out I still wore them. My mum used to have a fine collection of these. For summer I would choose some flowery intricate design like these from Boho Brooches I absolutely love th designs with gemstones and vintage feel to it, but very trendy. I would wear them with a shirt or pin to a blazer.

Handbag

I absolutely love handbags! I have so many at home, that I have lost count of them. Each season I need a new handbag and they serve me a different purpose from being an accessory to a very handy product that I can keep all my belongings. Spring, is the best time to keep small ones and cute ones. It’s time to go colourful and pink is the way to go.

Clothes accessories.

I absolutely love decorative clothes with pearls, gemstones and everything that adds statement. Even boring t-shirt with some cute added buttons can be transformed into some fashionable item. I would go and check all your crafty box, pick some pair of jeans and jazz them up on your own. I guarantee that these will make you feel super cool, yet will strike attention and you can be your Chanel in your eyes.  Happy Spring!
