As above… It’s happening right now. The 17th of May is the day of the opening of Pop Up show featuring the unique collaboration results of Bodie and Fou with Vipp. I am on Bodie and Fou website daily, sometimes for inspiration and also I have specified some items for my client from there. I just love it! They have such unique pieces there! Bodie and Fou teamed up with Vipp and from 17th-24 of May people can view the unique results of their collaboration. For people like me who are stuck at home, you can see the amazing prints online here. Let’s have a look at the collection!
Some of the prints are truly inspiring like these vintage 1950’s USA signs! They have been sourced from Brooklyn by the Bodie and Fou Creative Director during her last trip to New York City! There is also a love story behind it! It just gets better and better! On the website next to the products we can read ”Karine gave numbers 3, 6 and 5 as a present to her husband to show him how much she loves him all year long but you can spell out any special date to celebrate a birthday, wedding or anniversary.” Isn’t that amazing? Huge Yay for that! There is also a note about some signs of wear and tear on the boards as these are real Vintage items! Unfortunately they are not available to purchase online but they are still available to grab from their London Showroom! I may have a trip there instead! Yes, I am in London next week for Clerkenwell Design Week so I need to save loads of money tho ! Next, what I adore is

the BODIE and FOU x Vipp15 Bin. We always find bins boring but they are useful, of course! The way these are designed is just amazing. My love for typography is just endless! Despite already having 2 tattoos, one on my arm and one my wrist I am already craving a new one! But I would only like typography so I can’t do it unless I am going to look like a walking book! But typography at home?? Yes, yess ….Yaayy!!! I love it on walls and products! The bin is just perfect, isn’t it? This pedal bin has also quite an unusual story behind it!

The bin has been designed originally by Holger Nielsen for his wife Marie, for her hair salon. Marie didn’t have enough money to finish the design of her salon so she asked her husband to help her with finishing the furnishing, with some practical pieces. Holger Nielsen who started his company of winning a car in lottery, selling it and opening his metal factory, he didn’t know then that his product would become famous around the world! He helped his wife and created the pedal bin. Nielsen wasn’t a designer but only a metal turner, but his wife’s salon gave him good advertising of the bin as she used to do hair, for local doctors who purchased the bins for their practices! And here today Bodie and Fou gave the bin a nice final design touch! I just love it! And it would look amazing in my white kitchen (see previous post!Click here)
”Inspired by BODIE and FOU’s effortlessly chic and laid-back lifestyle, our new print collection includes designs around our most favourite cities and inspiring, feel-good prints around Love, Life and Family…because at the end of the day, that’s all it matters.” That’s how Bodie and Fou described their newest print collection! I love London. Paris..New York! These cities have always been inspirational and having collections of such beautiful prints at home make me feel so worldwide! Don’t you???
