Styling your festive table last minute for Christmas or New years Eve dinner can be very stressful.
Today, I want to show you how can you decorate your table on budget and last minute with a beautiful rose gold table theme. Initially, I wanted to show you how to style table just for New Year’s Eve small 2 people dinner, but you can easily steal the idea and use it for your Christmas dinner.
We tend to pull out things from drawers and just quick ‘set’ without giving many thoughts. Few table centres, pretty napkins and ‘’will do’’ it’s what many of you are doing, am I right? We tend to put more thoughts into our Christmas tree and decorations around the house, often forgetting about our table.
Let’s show you these capsule tableware for any festive party and statement items you should always keep at home. You can transform your table within seconds, so you can impress your guest, your other half or just make your home pretty for any dinner. Whether you have friends over or planning your New Years Eve party.
I will start with LSA International, as I can’t even express my love for this brand. You can read my post about LSA International I did over summer. I was browsing their collections carefully just to pick the one that would be very for any occasions. I must say, it was very hard as all their collections are stunning! I have decided to pick the Pearl Collection* in the end as it was the one that I thought it would tickle all boxes to become the capsule item. Plus it reflects the rose gold theme beautifully. The tumbler glasses are very shimmery with small side stripes like to give it a bit of edge and design feature, yet these feel quite solid in hand. I love how it reflects the light and makes the table brighter. My white wine glasses are quite delicate yet with a sheer mother of pearl lustre that gives it a beautiful finish. I was literally crying when I opened my champagne glasses. Seriously, these are the most amazing statement on my table. Te glassware has very distinctive luxury feel to it and prices start from £35 for 4 tumblers and £45 for 4 wine glasses. My Champagne flutes cost £48 for 2, but believe me it’s a design for a life you definitely want to invest into it. Also, seeing prices in supermarkets or typical high street stores for simple designs, I find £45 perfectly reasonable plus you getting the wow factor to your table.
Next, it’s my cutlery set. I was swooning over rose gold cutlery set for a while now. Seeing prices between £50-£80 was the reason why I never bought it until I came across this set in Argos. I was chatting about their collection last year. This set cost only £29.99 !! It’s a given guys! One thing, it does look different to the image!(oh Argos!) but still, despite the slightly different style of design – it still looks amazing for the price! You can find Some discount to all items in Argos voucher codes ! Let’s get that even cheaper. Table napkins are from Sainsbury and its 100% linen napkins for £4! Literally! I have robbed my small Christmas tree of small twig and added to it as well, as found some pretty feathers to add a little bit of touch. I have folded the napkin creating an asymmetric corner, and it really gave that little edge to it.
For my dinnerware, I was looking for a simple design, without tacky flowers or distinctive pattern, so it will be a true capsule item I can reuse on any occasion. After growing I found the Heart of House Purton 16 Piece Stoneware Dinner Set. I really liked the neutral colour, yet distinctive gold stripe around the bowls. it’s very solid and I can tell, it will last years. Prices at £34.99 for 4 people set! Bargain.
What a dinner party would be without a cheese? Are you cheese lover like me? Well, this year I got Edge of Belgravia* beautiful knife set that it’s not only for cheese of course but perfect for meat and bread of course. The knives are super sharp, making cooking super easy, yet beautiful designed so you want to show them off on your table!
What goes well with rose gold? Of course pink and marble! My marble round cheese board with a wood finish is from Homesense and full marble chopping board is from Sass & Bell.
Rest is down to inexpensive touches like DIY candle holders ( H&M with spray painted designs =, I think one candle holder cost £3.99) and spray paint I had at home. I have added some table confetti from Sainsbury’s. You may see that confetti on my head (literally) check this Instagram post 😉
So, that’s it. It literally takes few capsule items and you can transform your table anytime and instantly you can impress family and friends. It looks beautiful and is different to a typical silver cutlery set and white dinner set. Make a difference this New Years Eve (or even Christmas) and make your dinner party unforgettable. Rest is down to food ( I can’t help with it as I am not very good at it 😉
* Post includes gifted items from LSA International & Edge of Belgravia. I will only review items I love and i want to share with you.
