Last week, I went to Spring Fair 2017 in Birmingham NEC, I have previously mentioned I will be going and you could see all my insta-stories from that day. I am always excited about Spring Fair and Autumn Fair. There are so many amazing things happening, that anyone who is a creative soul, love homeware/fashion and dream about their own store or already have one; It’s a place to be.
Perhaps you remember my visit and my highlights fro Autumn Fair last year, so this year in a similar way I want to show you highlights from Spring Fair 2017. I have focused mostly on homeware brands last year, and this year I have explored the Fashion world a little too. I tried to avoid visiting same brands, as I already signed up for their newsletters and I have focused on new brands this year.
I have arrived at the show in the afternoon last week Wednesday and as soon as I entered I loved it. It’s wasn’t just a spring fair in a name! I was welcomed with a pop of colours, stunning boho and summery styles, flower power and everything that instantly makes you feel warm and energised. You know it’s a spring coming.
Brands really focused on showcasing their products in their best ability and some stands were incredibly creative. My first stop was by Madam Stoltz as their swings, soft textures and beautiful cushions instantly got my attention. The staff the pop up was very attentive and helpful as well. I loved the beautiful metallics, coloured and natural rotten mixed with delicate patterns. After that, I passed Lene Bjerre, Danish brand with similar vibes and I fell in love with their blush velvet cushions.
I was incredibly impressed with House of Disaster. I have their bag for 5 years now ( and love with whole my heart) and seeing their amazing stands, as a designer, I was in my element. I chatted to Neil, the general manager who told me actually designed the stands, The attention to detail and creativity of this place definitely stands out and I’m not ashamed to say this was the best pop up exhibition stand I ever was seen. Chairs, screwed to walls, paint brushes used as shelves or creative use of wash tape? These guys not only have the most amazing accessories but they know how to present them! Big, big applause! It makes me want their bags even more now.
I also found many great fashion brands and loads of such a stunning trends among them. You cam check all the exhibitor’s list on Spring Fair. It was such a great day and I am so sorry I couldn’t spend at least 2 days as there so many things to see.
ps. If you going to Spring Fair or Autumn Fair, wear comfy shoes. There is so loads of walking but you will be really positively energised and happy see all the items, but I wouldn’t recommend to wear high heels, though 😉

Been to a few of these fairs now for various reasons and although they’re exhausting they’re also so inspiring and such a great way to see which trends are coming through.
