When it comes to beauty products, I am very specific. I have tested out so many products over the past years and some of them were awful, some just average and handful selection turn up to be My collection.
When I say my collection, this means that’s the products I swear by, and products I would always buy. I know that when it comes to beauty gifts for her; whether for a girlfriend, best friend or any woman in our life it’s difficult to know whether she will like the product or not, whether the product is right for her but also whether is good enough.
Of course, all adverts these days says that all of the beauty products are damn good;) So today, I have made my Valentine’s beauty gift guide for her list based only on products I tested out myself and I love it. Some of them are not the cheapest, but I have found some really good alternatives as well.
I swear by every single product in this list! I used these products on regular basis and are the best of best!
1. Mac lipstick Lovethesales 2. Dr Lipp balm Amazon 3. YSL Touche Éclat Blur Primer John Lewis 4. Lancome Doll Eyes mascara House of Fraser 5. Naked Urban Decay 3 House of Fraser 6. Perfection Lumiere foundation Chanel House of Fraser 7. Aqua di Gioja perfume John Lewis 8. Drops of Youth The Body Shop 9. Magnitone face brush Amazon (or let me know I have one for sale £40!) 10. Benefit brow collection House of Fraser |
I always try to source cheaper alternatives. Primark eye shadow pallete is as good as Urban Decay! However, it does have shorter life and you have to redo you make up more often but colours are so alike! Asm many expensive foundtations I tried, Rimmel Wake Me up is just best of best for morning and cost 1/3 of the expensive ones! Mac lipstick are amazing and stay forever on, but Topshop lipstick is as good as Mac and cost half of the price!
When I buy cosmetics, I always look where to make savings. Especially, that my favourite bits are not the cheapest in the world. However, I believe it’s worth the quality. I tried more expensive versions I was sent before, and wouldn’t see the difference. Great way to make saving while shopping beauty products, are check online vouchers, promotions in store and online. I love buying products in Boots or Superdrug and chasing the 2 in 1 promos. Recently, I have discovered you can buy Boots products even cheaper with Boots discount code (Watch the promos as they expire quickly so you need to keep an eye on all recent offers)
When it comes to buying beauty online, I also watch sales in shops and seasonal sales especially, like spring sales or winter ones. There is also a way of making savings by watching out for flash sales however, it’s difficult to keep track on all sales on each shop individually so websites like LovetheSales comes handy as you can search all products in one place.

I know some of you are not a huge fan of Valentines Day, and cringe when this day comes. I had a period when I hated it as well. Now, I am kinda neutral. I think I have now learned How to spent Valentine’s on my own despite I have a boyfriend ( who is always at work on Valentine’s sigh…) so spending the time on my own with pampering sessions, kinda of makes me likes Valentines.
You know why? Because of it the day, when I do all my pampering with a sort of special care. I don’t know why but the bath is kinda warmer, the Prosecco taste better and the romantic comedies are funnier. It’s maybe because when I stay home normally and do all these things, I don’t pay attention as much and when it comes to Valentines Day I really enjoy putting all the bits together to make sure the evening is really special. After all, it’s a day when we say we love someone and why not tell you to love yourself 😉
Don’t forget to also read about my Next Flowers experience from the last year. Next have some beautiful flowers did you know? Why not make a valentines gift to yourself and get fresh flowers as valentines or not- there is always a reason to buy flowers;)
*collaborative post but opinion-grammar mistakes as always my own, you know girl gonna eat 😉

Great post, sweetie! I totally agree with you, sometimes can be quite hard to find a perfect present to someone who tried almost everything. I’m also very picky with my present, but I’ll say yes to all the Benefit products, especially to their brow line! Have a great Valentine’s Day ???
