Let’s talk love today ( and a little bit of personalised cat jewellery later) ;). If you asked me to write about love a few months back I would most likely, slammed few naughty words, throw some nasty epithets and perhaps delete the post later, truly regret it. After being in a relationship for 9 years and when this suddenly end, it can really hurt. It can really break you. It can make you feel worthless, kill your self-esteem and question everything and everyone. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know who to speak to. I cried, I laughed. I went through loads of emotional stages. Yes, I was angry, I was heartbroken and I was devastated. Today, however, I feel differently. The past few months made me realised so many things; opened my eyes to the whole new world and let me discovered a new person, me.
If you asked me today, how I feel? I feel relieved. I have been hurt again, but it only made me stronger. I can sit down and talk love without feeling anger anymore. I became an adulter adult.
So, what is love?
For me, love is when you meet that person, and you talk all the time, and you can’t stop thinking about them. You are imagining the future, and you are making the present. Love is also when that person can make you laugh so much that you cry, and when you sad, seeing their face makes things 1000s better. Love is when you get up to make them tea even when you wrapped in a warm duvet, or go pick up a delivery in a rain.
but love is also when you pick up their dirty socks from the sofa, pick up the dirty boxes of pizza and move the console remote to draw and tidy. Love is when they pick up your make up of the floor and your scattered high heels after party.
Love is when you argue about who spend more this month, and when you go buy your first TV together. Love is when coming home after a long stressful day and that person with one look at you, pass you a glass of prosecco or handbag and take you out for dinner and dance. Love is when you so tired and just hide in the bedroom and the other person just let you have your space that moment.
Love isn’t about a romance only, love is also making sacrifices and decisions together. It’s respecting each other and helping each other out. Love isn’t about shift blaming, or making each other feel bad. Love isn’t about constant reminder of doing things, it’s should be a mutual agreement on everything. Love isn’t about money, it doesn’t matter how much you both or individually have, you share and care.
Love is like your small baby pet, the more you care about them and more you give them, they will grow bigger and give you more love back. ( doesn’t work with cats sorry)
Love it’s making their dreams reality if you can you do anything to make them happy. Love is about giving and taking. Not necessary giving physical things, it’s the small things that count. The small gestures, that shows how well you know each other. It’s guessing their needs and celebrating the other person personality, because you love them the way they are, you want to express it and show the world who they are and why you love them.
This is why personalised gifts are the most precious gifts ever. When we meet someone special, we want to gift them something that will remind them of us. This is why jewellery these days is one of the most popular gift these days. For me, jewellery is an artwork. It’s not just a piece of pretty shiny metal. It’s a creation on its own and I have a list of my favourite jewellery brands that I adore and are close to my heart. One of the brands is Thomas Sabo. I was invited previously to the newly opened Thomas Sabo store in Preston, but sadly I couldn’t make it. However, I still wanted to show you their absolutely beautiful pieces.
If you are not aware of the brand, let me just quickly tell you about them. Thomas Sabo is one of the globally-leading jewellery, watches and beauty companies, designing, selling and distributing lifestyle products for women and men including ranges fuse edgy, rock’ n’ roll vibes with subtle elegance and contemporary feel.
As I am living now my single life, I wanted to show my unconditional love to my cats. Many of you know how crazy cat person I am. Not just for posting photos of my cats at all the time, but also buying cat jeans, cat top, cat headphones, cat mug, cat everything! When choosing Thomas Sabo jewellery, I must admit, I spent good 2h on their website! I couldn’t decide between the chakra jewellery or maybe picking my very own diamond piece? They have so many amazing ranges it was absolutely difficult to choose from. I wanted them all.
My favourite part of Thomas Sabo jewellery is that you can personalise most of them!!!
I have chosen pieces from their collection launched in April 2017, Friendship bracelet-Little Secret Bracelets. I was really drawn into this cute little rope bracelets designs with a little heart shape logo. ( I love when jewellery have engraved logo, it’s something special in it!). These are available in 20 fine rope designs and colours but I chose the dusty pink rope design with a thin metal plate in rose gold, obviously. I have personalised it with a ‘cat girl’ and paw imprint. I thought it was simple and perfectly describing me and my love for my cats.
My second bracelet was the popular motif of Tree of Love crafted in 925 Sterling silver, featuring 18K rose gold plating. This one is also in hand-knotted rope bracelet but in soft green colour. I wasn’t sure about the colour at first, but it really complements my blue ink of my tattoo. I absolutely love this one and it gives me sort of calmness. I don’t know why it’s like my lucky charm now.
I also picked the Love Coin necklace ‘disk’ with a simple disk in rose gold. I had to choose from 13,000 possibilities of personalisations! We talk about famous emoticons, popular motives, but also your chosen initials etc. I decided to go for the cat paw imprint again. I thought it would be such a statement and simplicity of expression.
Thomas Sabo would make a perfect gift for anyone! It’s so beautiful jewellery! I am yet keeping my eyes on the diamonds! I need my first diamond in my life 😉 Hopefully pink!
Ah for a limited time only you can get a free diamond bracelet when you spend £149! Start your Christmas shopping early!
