Girl’s guide how to relax and not got crazy this Christmas. You got it, girl!
Past weeks I nearly gone crazy myself. Yes, it may sounds funny but believe me it wasn’t. Christmas is a very busy time and apart from decorating your Christmas tree, buying gifts and tidying home- most people spend that time with families. For those fortunate enough to have them around of course.
For me, this year been a rather sad one. Feeling the tension of personal issues, along with the feeling of missing family and not quite the Christmas you would wish for, it kind of got me. Last year, I wrote
- Sleep. First of
all I would suggest, focus on sleep. I haven’trealised how tired I was. It wasn’t just the physical tiredness but mental as well. You have 1000s thoughts in your head and you can’t just switch off. You get to drink 4th coffee to stay focused but it doesn’t help, it onlymake it worse as coffee triggers anxiety. Take a weekend or day off from work and just lie in or sleep all day long. Besidesif is winter, focus oncolours that canenergise you as well, perhaps usingorange in your bedroom can help you feel more positive. Orange is thecolours coming fromsun so you indulging that extra vitamin D to your system. Check Simply Cushions for more options.
- Bath. Take a long bath. Buy some nice bath liquid or bath bombs and add some bubbles. Pour yourself your
favourite drink whether is wine or cup of tea, lit the candle and relax. I recently got this new bath caddy and it comes with wine holder, glass or candle holderand book or tablet holder. It can be regulated to a different bath size as well.
- Plan your future. Whether you want to create a 2019 vision board or just simple Christmas tasks, buy a new shiny planner and write it down everything you need to do. Staying focus and
organised is exactly what you need to do right now.
- Go out with friends and family. If you happen to be surrounded
with friends and family then pick up the phone andorganise Christmas dinner or drinks. Last week,i had staff party and Awards night and these little moments helped. Having the closer ones around you will help you bring the positive mood.
- If you must drink this Christmas ( or just want) try to stick to lower alcohol like cider or low alcohol wine. Believe me, drinking heavily won’t solve your problems. It can cause the ‘hangover anxiety’ and it may sound like a quick fix, but it can actually make it worse.
